What is Valet wallet?

Valet is a fork of the original Simple Bitcoin Wallet (aka SBW), modified to support synthetic "stable sats" based on hosted channels. You can read more about stable sats on standardsats.github.io.

Valet uses the IMMORTAN library, which a fork of Eclair focused on mobile, with extra emphasis on user privacy. It allows extensive Lightning Network support in addition to non-custodial Bitcoin wallet features in Android.

Valet has a lot features and it focuses on privacy and control:

  • You choose which coins to spend !
  • You see your channels. All of them :)
  • Address reuse: avoided
  • Trampoline + private hops
  • Backups that work offline...

At last, Valet is familiar and relatively easy to use despite its advanced technologies and features. It helps you open channel. It "just works".

Valet retains all the original capabilities of SBW :

  • a non-custodial Bitcoin & Lightning wallet
  • a fully-featured Lightning node within your mobile device
