What is Lorem Picsum?
Lorem Picsum provides an easy way for web developers to get elegant placeholder images. API access is available through simple and intuitive urls like picsum.photos/200/300 for a random 200px x 300px image.
Basic Usage - Just put your image size (width & height) after our URL and you'll get a placeholder. https://picsum.photos/200/300
To get a square image, just put the size you want. https://picsum.photos/200
Grayscale - Use the /g/ path to greyscale the image. https://picsum.photos/g/200/300
List images - Get a list of images by using the /list endpoint. https://picsum.photos/list

Really convenient, simple, and powerful tool for web developers.
This is a programmer's resource - _a web programmer _ to be precise. There are no images to browse and select from because this service sources it's images from Unsplash.
While this service is of great utility and convenience to specialists, if you're just looking for an image or few for your presentation, publication, post etc, be prepared to be able to code your request to fetch what you need.
It is definitely not an alternative to Unsplash, Pixabay, Pexel or other such repositories of freely usable stock images.
