What is UnSething?

UnSething is a macOS DICOM viewer and patient image archive for healthcare professionals and organisations. It combines study management, image viewing and DICOM networking in one desktop application, with support for Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.

Studies can be organised by patient, date and modality. The integrated viewer provides window/level adjustment, image comparison, measurements and annotations, alongside multiplanar reconstruction and volume rendering for compatible studies. DICOM import, export, query/retrieve and send let the application exchange studies with existing PACS and DICOM workstations.

UnSething is derived from Horos and OsiriX. Its application source is available under GNU LGPL version 3, with individual third-party components retaining their own licences. Separate plugins extend the application to clinical photography workflows, including JPEG-to-DICOM conversion with patient and study metadata.

A 15-day trial of the distributed application is available by requesting a personal download link on the official website. Plugins are excluded from the trial. At the end of the trial, users can export the entire database.
