AI language tutors you can actually talk to
Most language apps teach by tapping: match the pair, pick the missing word, keep the streak alive. This list is for the other kind - apps built around actually speaking, where you hold a live spoken conversation with an AI that listens, replies and corrects you as you go.
They are not interchangeable. Some only coach English pronunciation, some are general conversation partners across dozens of languages, some wrap the conversation inside a full course with grammar and review. Language coverage, price and how much you get for free vary a lot, so check each one against what you actually want to practise.
Disclosure: I make Mio, which is in this list.
