Free, Add-less, small, faithful to the original
An open-source turn-based strategy game inspired by Civilization V, offering a faithful and lightweight Civ experience on mobile. It's free, ad-free, and regularly updated with bug fixes and UI improvements. The game runs smoothly, features solid AI, and supports mods and multiplayer (though online setup could be easier). While graphics are simple, gameplay depth and ease of modding shine. It’s the best free Civ-like game on mobile for hardcore and casual players alike.
Awesome game. A few reasons why I love this game:
(1) It is Open Source and Free. Just like FreeCiv. But unlike FreeCiv, which is based on the beautiful but rather old Civilization-2, this one is based on Civilisation-5.
(2) In terms of the game rules it is an almost 1:1 copy of Civilization-5. The devolopers did not try to "mix their own ideas" in, but stayed true to the originial.
(3) It is fantastic for modding, much more than the original Civilization-5 (which was already quite decent for modders). The data model of UNCIV is much easier to comprehend and edit, than that of Civ-5. The so-called "uniques" are a powerful tool for modders.
(4) It works on Android devices! How cool is that!!
