Comments and Reviews
the only free/libre guitar tab editor
Great editor, I'm glad that I can use it on Android. Also, recently I found this repo https://github.com/helge17/tuxguitar, which seems to be more active than the SourceForge one.
TuxGuitar is a must if you ever used Guitar Pro on Windows. You can open Guitar Pro files up to Pro 5 which is awesome! The only caveat is the fact that sound was not working out of the box. But upon doing intensive research online, I recommend the following: (Keep in mind, I am running Linux Mint 20.3) Install timidity from the package manager and then open the terminal and type timidity, do this before you open TuxGuitar and this should solve the sound issue.
well it does play guitarprofiles, but there are bugs for instance one track did not play from the beginning. further i think its very nice freeware.
