What is TraceMeister?
TraceMeister is an Android network diagnostics app focused on accurate, low-level measurements rather than wrapper-based tools.
Unlike most Android network utilities, ping and traceroute are implemented natively in C++ (NDK) with custom packet construction and response handling. The app does not rely on system ping/traceroute binaries, bundled executables, or root access.
Core features include:
- Configurable ICMP ping (packet size, interval, TTL, timeout, high-rate probing)
- Traceroute using ICMP or UDP probes
- Live Trace: continuous traceroute combined with ping, providing real-time latency and packet loss statistics (similar to MTR or PathPing)

- DNS&GeoIP lookup
- RDAP&WHOIS lookup
The app is free and is under active development, with new features being added regularly.
