What is TRACE Boardviewer?

TRACE Boardviewer is a free, MIT-licensed desktop workspace for electronics board repair. Open supported boardview files and selected PCB formats for viewing, attach a schematic and PDF datasheets, search parts, values or net names, cross-probe exact-name matches, and keep per-board notes.

Board and document files are read locally. The app requires no account and has no telemetry; network features are optional. Current release: 1.3.3. Windows x64 is the stable target. Apple-silicon macOS (13+) and x86-64 Linux builds are experimental. TRACE is for viewing and repair reference, not PCB design or editing; supported variants and geometry vary.
