Thumbfix

ThumbFix is a web-based YouTube thumbnail optimization toolkit that helps creators evaluate, compare, and preview video thumbnails before publishing. Instead of waiting days for post-upload impressions to run a live split test, creators can test and benchmark their thumbnail packaging prior to upload.

Core features include:

• Visual A/B Test: Compare two thumbnail variations side-by-side across contrast, visual hierarchy, text legibility, face emotion, and AI uncanny-valley detection to predict the higher-CTR winner.
• YouTube Thumbnail Checker & CTR Predictor: Audit single thumbnails against niche benchmarks derived from empirical studies of 3,000+ YouTube videos, including mobile readability and the 4-to-6 word text rule.
• YouTube Mockup Previewer: Preview how a thumbnail and video title appear inside Desktop Home, Mobile Feed, Search Results, and Suggested Sidebar layouts in both Light and Dark mode, with duration timestamp safe-zone checks.
• YouTube Thumbnail Downloader (Thumb-Grab): Extract and download public YouTube video thumbnails in Full HD (1280x720), SD, and HQ resolutions for research and benchmarking.
