The Pebble Club is a free app for autistic adults aged 18 and over who want to make friends but find the usual routes exhausting.
Instead of swiping or small talk, you are matched with members who share your interests and get to know each other by doing things together: turn-based games (chess, Battleships, Connect 4, Wordsmith, nonograms, a shared jigsaw, a two-player maze) and questions you both answer, with the answers revealed only once both are in. A chat sits alongside each game, so there is always something to talk about.
Everything happens at your own pace. You make a move or add an answer whenever you like; there is no pressure to reply quickly, no video, no voice and no photos required. The design is deliberately calm: no feeds, no likes, nothing pushing you to keep scrolling. Block and report tools are on every screen, every message is screened, and members are adults only.
Free, with no in-app purchases. Made in the UK and available worldwide in English on iPhone and Android.
