What is Text Monkey?

Text Monkey Pro operates on text while it resides on the Windows clipboard, extending the functionality of every program you use. In that sense it's like WOTS Clippy. The features of the two programs overlap, but there are significant differences, and big differences in operation.

  • Pros of Text Monkey: -- interactive (if you want that) -- different though overlapping feature set -- a product of respected Boxer Software
  • Cons of Text Monkey: -- interactive only, does not operate seamlessly from a hotkey like WOTS Clippy -- cannot combine multiple operations into a single "clipper" operation, a major feature of WOTS Clippy -- author still exists, but has not updated this particular program since 2004 -- feature set of freeware version limited, though offers useful basic operations, and a good demonstration
