What is TendFeed?
TendFeed answers the question every bidder faces before writing a proposal: is this tender worth the effort, or is it already crowded?
It covers public tenders from all EU member states (TED, the official EU procurement journal) in all 24 official EU languages. For every open tender, TendFeed shows the competition density measured in comparable past awards: the median number of bidders, the single-bidder rate and a price corridor where the data supports one. The measurement comes from 530,000 real contract-award notices with a reported bidder count.
The reason this matters: across the full corpus, 69% of EU contract awards went to three bidders or fewer and 35% to a single bidder — but the spread between countries and sectors is enormous. In Poland 60% of awards have one bidder, in Switzerland 13%. Preparing one proposal costs an SME up to EUR 3,000 (IfM Bonn), and most of that work wins nothing. Knowing where competition is thin before you start is the whole point.
Guest access is free and needs no account: the board of expired tenders is fully searchable, including how many bidders each one attracted. A paid account unlocks the live, still-biddable board.
TendFeed also speaks MCP, so it plugs directly into AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT: your assistant can search tenders and pull competition verdicts on your behalf.
