What is TED?
The internet is great to provide us with our favorite TV shows free, early and watchable on demand. We always had to spend lots of time to keep up to date with the newest episodes. Until we created ted, our torrent episode downloader. Ted can find episodes of any TV show you like to watch. Just add your favorite shows to ted and he will search for the newest episodes and downloads them for you. ted uses bittorrent and RSS technology to get you the newest episodes as fast as possible! Ted comes with a huge list of shows, waiting for you to be watched. ted even displays a summary of each show.

The website www.ted.nu is no longer available, but last version of the app, 0.9.72, released on 2011, can be still downloaded from SourceForge

Ted looked good and I made a small list of TV shows. It found them and I thought that I was set. Then it became buggy. The preferences would not move from one to the other. I closed it down and then would not open again. I downloaded ted again, it opened and then the same problem. It might be the fact that I am using 10.6, not sure. Looked like a good program.
On mac all it does is throw this error. "The feed from (insert show name here) is not from a supported source." It does this even for the predefined feeds. I can even see it match the exact name of the file I want, but then nope, that error again. Oh well... TVShows it is, then.
This seems more or less abandoned right now. Would look for another alternative if the author hasn't updated recently.

This is really buggy at the moment and really needs an update, if any one has any other Linux / Windows alternatives it would help.
