The game is great, but the community is absolutely toxic at times.
It's an incredible fast-pace first-person-shooter that revolutionised the genre back in it's release. Hats, Gibs, whacky cosmetics, and customized character voice lines that make them feel alive and real to you. This yet at the same time, they seem to come from a Cartoonic world filled with violence, mayhem, and Baboon heart transplants!
Team-based warfare with each class having specific roles to fill, yet their roles aren't that static either.
Ranged roles can be fully invested in their ranged strengths, or compromise to have mid-ranged strength as well.
You can also throw piss in jars, throw Butcher Knives, and play out your fantasy as a psychotic killer Milk-Man.
Team fortress 2 is no longer comercial
People should stop tagging every program that is possible to start in wine as Linux apps. Last time I tried TF2 on Linux is was lagging on lowest graphics, there was no sound, it was nearly impossible to use the menus and the gnome panel was overlapping it.
TF2 is not a Linux app.
One of the most fun games out there. An enjoyable experience all around, definitely recommend playing this game with friends. A common complaint is the recent deluge of promotional items and slightly unbalanced updates, which, in my own humble opinion, do detract some from the game. However, that doesn't stop this game from being one of the most fun multiplayer FPSes out there right now.
Best and biggest online FPS game you can get for your money!
Sorry but this is NOT a Linux app. Yes it's true that you can get it to run somewhat under wine but it's not officially supported.
