What is Tab Rescue?

Tab Rescue is a Chrome session manager and tab suspender that keeps a safety net under your browsing.

AUTOMATIC BACKUPS. Every few minutes it silently snapshots all your open windows and tabs into a timeline. If Chrome crashes or you close everything by mistake, you can bring it all back exactly as it was, including tab groups and pinned tabs. After a crash it notices your tabs are gone and offers the last backup straight from the popup.

NAMED SESSIONS. Pin any snapshot and name it - project research, travel planning, weekend reading - and restore it later, fully or one window at a time. Restoring opens new windows and never disturbs the tabs you already have open.

TAB GROUPS. Sessions keep tab groups with their names, colours and order, and rebuild them on restore. Most session managers predate tab groups; this one was built for them.

TAB SUSPENDING. Suspend a heavy tab, or every tab except the one you are reading, using Chrome's own suspend mechanism. Suspended tabs stay in the tab strip and reload instantly when clicked - no placeholder pages, nothing lost.
