What is Subnota?

Subnota is a local-first note-taking app for macOS and Windows. While you write, it surfaces related sentences from your past notes and saved web pages, even when they share no keywords, using an embedding model that runs on your device.

Key features:

  • Connected memory: related past notes appear beside the sentence you're writing.
  • Notes to calendar: dates and deadlines in your notes are suggested as calendar events.
  • Web clipping with AI summaries: save a page and its title, summary, and keywords come back when you write about something related.
  • Notes, calendar, and saved links side by side in one window.

Notes are saved to a local database first, so you can write offline, and sync to the cloud when you're signed in. Available in English and Korean.
