    SDV is a beautiful tribute to Harvest Moon, the one that started it all for many people who enjoy farm/town games. I feel like they did a better job of it even, and there is a vibrant mod community. I love Harvest Moon but SDV is my favorite and it still receives updates and new fan-made content. You don't have to buy it on Steam either, you can still play with your friends using the standalone GoG version. Multiplayer isn't perfect but it does support co-op games.
