    All you do is fly around procedurally generated planets and scan/mine stuff to upgrade your ship. No role-playing, very little if any combat, and no spaceports or cities to visit.

    Elite Dangerous does not currently have any way to walk around outside your ship, let alone even walk around the INSIDE of your ship. And the expansion that is set to add that feature will cost around $30 and can't be obtained any other way. Star Citizen, on the other hand, has that built in from the start. Meaning you only need the base game and no extra DLC.
