What is SpiffWorkflow?
SpiffWorkflow Application is a complete business workflow automation platform built on top of the popular open source SpiffWorkflow library. SpiffWorkflow allows end users to create simple flow-chart diagrams and spreadsheets that can then be executed to solve many common business problems. For example, SpiffWorkflow can be used to manage highly complex approval processes such as those related to medical research. It can be used to track efforts across teams or to build intuitive wizard-like interfaces that simplify highly complex tasks like completing a federal tax return in US. SpiffWorkflow provides a robust infrastructure for allowing users to connect to many different web services, connecting these services together - so that input from a AWS database table could be analyzed on a regular basis, and then post alerts to a slack channel.
SpiffWorkflow is built on international standards managed by the OMG, including BPMN (Business Process and Modeling Notation) and DMN (Decision Model Notation). Features include the ability create BPMN diagrams with a powerful integrated editor, a form builder, a Python development environment, debugging and testing tools, an attractive end user interface for engaging with participants, where they can view assigned tasks, and tasks assigned to their groups. Customizable reports, debugging tools, and more.
