What is SPC Tools?

SPC Tools is a statistical process control (SPC) toolkit for quality and process engineers that runs entirely in the browser. Measurement data is never uploaded, so it works for confidential production data and offline or air-gapped PCs.

Free web calculators:

  • Process capability: paste measurements from Excel, enter LSL/USL (one-sided specs supported) and get Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk, Cpm, expected and observed PPM
  • Histogram with normal fits, I-MR or X-bar R control charts and Nelson rules 1-4; charts can be saved as PNG
  • Crossed Gage R&R with the ANOVA method: %Study Var, %Tolerance, %Contribution, number of distinct categories and an AIAG verdict

SPC Tools Pro (one-time purchase, a single offline HTML file for Windows and Mac):

  • Batch capability analysis of dozens of characteristics in one sortable table
  • Gage R&R with six MSA charts and the AIAG Average & Range method next to ANOVA
  • One-click PDF reports, CSV export, English and Korean interface

Formulas follow the AIAG SPC and MSA manuals and are validated against an independent Python/SciPy implementation; the Gage R&R results reproduce the published Minitab and AIAG example.
