What is Source IPTV Player?

Source is a free IPTV player for Windows and Mac. It's the same idea as TiviMate or IPTV Smarters, made for the desktop.

Add your provider's Xtream Codes login or an M3U/M3U8 link, and Source turns it into one place to watch:

  • Live TV with a full program guide. See what's on now and next, click a channel and it plays right in the guide, keep favorites on top, and flip channels with Ctrl+Up/Down like a remote. It reads your provider's EPG or any XMLTV link.
  • Movies and series with posters, ratings and details, sorted by your provider's categories, with a resume bar on everything you've started.
  • A start page that picks up where you left off and shows what's on now.
  • One search across every provider, by title, genre, decade, director, actor or rating. Same movie on two providers? Pick the copy that plays.
  • Several providers side by side. Add as many as you have.
  • Local folders and NAS shares. Your own files get artwork, and episodes fold into shows.

Playback is built on mpv: 4K, HDR, HEVC, AV1 and H.264 with hardware decoding, plus Dolby Atmos, TrueHD and DTS-HD MA audio with track picking. Subtitles work from built-in tracks, SRT files or OpenSubtitles, with no API key needed. Cast to Chromecast or AirPlay; formats the TV can't play get converted on the way. Picture-in-picture keeps the video on top while you work. Nine themes, or make your own.

No account, no ads, no telemetry. Updates arrive inside the app.

Source is a player only. It comes with no channels, playlists or providers. You bring your own.
