SML/NJ Alternatives

    SML/NJ is described as 'Standard ML of New Jersey (abbreviated SML/NJ) is a compiler for the Standard ML '97 programming language with associated libraries, tools, and documentation'. There are three alternatives to SML/NJ for Linux, Mac, Windows and BSD. The best alternative is Poly/ML, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like SML/NJ are MLton (Free, Open Source) and OCaml (Free, Open Source).
