Post comment/reviewWhat is Smart Layouts?
Smart Layouts is a native macOS window manager that brings zone-based window organization to the Mac. Designed as a spiritual successor to Microsoft PowerToys FancyZones for macOS users, it allows you to define custom screen areas and snap windows into them effortlessly.
Key Features:
- Custom Zone Layouts: Don't settle for standard 50/50 splits. Draw your own zones to match your workflow—whether it's three columns for coding or a complex grid for monitoring.
- Drag-to-Snap: Hold Shift while dragging a window to activate your zones and drop the window exactly where you want it.
- Keyboard Control: Move windows between your custom zones using configurable keyboard shortcuts.
- Multi-Monitor Support: Create unique layouts for every monitor. The app uses hardware identifiers to remember your setup, even if you disconnect and reconnect displays.
- Native & Lightweight: Built entirely in Swift and SwiftUI. It uses minimal system resources and has no Electron bloat.
- Privacy Focused: No data collection. All layout configurations remain locally on your device.
Pricing: Smart Layouts offers a fully functional 14-day free trial. After the trial, it is a one-time purchase of $10 for a lifetime license (no subscriptions).
