What is Slowmersion: Chinese?

Three Pillars of Slowmersion

  1. Disappearing Pinyin

You shouldn't worry about learning Chinese characters for words you don't even know yet. Slowmersion will show you the pinyin for words you don't know yet and hide the pinyin for words you know well and are now ready to learn how to read and write in simplified characters. Concentrate on the spoken language first and then worry about the characters.

  1. Sentence Immersion

Instead of showing you the definition of words you have looked up before, Slowmersion will show you a sentence you saw that word in before. Watch this video to see how Slowmersion keeps you immersed in Chinese so that in time you associate the meanings of your new vocabulary to Chinese thoughts instead of translated English words.

  1. A.I. Audio Lessons

Watch the Coming Soon video. What Chinese words are most important for your situation? If you are a lawyer, read chapter one of a Chinese detective novel. Slowmersion will keep track of what you know and what you don't and then create daily audio lessons based on the words most important to your field and your Chinese level.

If you are in love, read a Chinese romance novel. Your audio lesson for the day might say "Do you remember how to say kiss?"
