What is SimilarWeb?
SimilarWeb is a global software development and data aggregation company specializing in web analytics and digital performance. It provides traffic insights for websites, supporting market research, competitive analysis, and business development.
The SimilarWeb browser add-on provides traffic and engagement statistics, including visits, time on site, page views, bounce rate, monthly visits, and traffic sources. It also offers site ranking data and information on the top 10 referring/destination sites, search keywords, social network sources, related mobile apps, and similar sites.
This tool is ideal for SEO and PPC specialists, media buyers, marketing managers, and social media managers. It integrates into your browser toolbar, reflecting the popularity of the site you're browsing. It provides an overview of a website's popularity and main traffic sources, engagement and usage stats, monthly visits for the past six months, and the sources attracting the most traffic. The add-on also offers insight into a site's ranking and displays related App Store or Google Play apps, their publisher and price, and suggests related websites.

Comments and Reviews
SimilarWeb seems to have the best data of all the traffic estimators out there. When I compare their 'guess' with my actual analytics, it's very close.
You can only view the data a few times a day, after that, they force you to log in… but when you do the layout of the website changes, AND THE INFORMATION YOU WANTED TO SEE IS NO LONGER VISIBLE.
You cannot register an account with gmail or outlook
After Alexa Pagerank quit in May this year, for unknown reasons, SimilarWeb seems to have become the autocrat. In any case, there is no alternative listed here that is even remotely as good.
However, the Chrome extension does not work reliably, it tries to force an account creation and then the trial phase expires at some point, with the notice that you have to pay, but the price is not communicated transparently, but is only possible via contact.
On reddit I read that the price is very negotiable and very high. Is actually also aimed exclusively at companies.
For private use too powerful and too expensive.
SimilarWeb is one of the best competition analyze tools in my opinion, all is good except price, frankly said it's too high for personal use. You could try freesimilarweb.com to get a free SimilarWeb PRO report.
freesimilarweb.com does not seem to exist anymore.
I use this site to find similar/alternative websites to what I usual visits. This helps me never miss a thing in that field or the website.
I suggest users use it, support it and contribute to it.
SimilarWeb has mutiple features, they indexed many websites and the relation of similar sites is not bad. However the page design makes it looks a little in a mess
What is the relation between SimilarSites and SimilarWeb? Their icons are very similar, but SimilarWeb is much better.
