What is S Files Pro X?
If you like file managers such as Q-dir, Directory Opus, Total Commander, xplorer2, and XYplorer because they offer tabs and multiple panes but do not like the classic Windows 32 style interface or your Windows 10X device does not support them, then Shrestha Files might be what you are looking for. It offers the convenience of tabs and dual pane in a modern and minimalist interface to supercharge your productivity.
Important: The app need access to device storage. At the first launch, click on the key icon in the app settings to open File Access in Windows 10 settings. Toggle the switch on to let Shrestha Files access the file system. Once toggled, launch the app again.
Tips:
- Double click/tap on empty area inside a tab view to go to the parent folder.
- You can reorder items in navigation bar by dragging items in Navigation Bar Edit window (under settings).
- (Pro Tip) Settings are saved in LocalState folder inside the Shrestha Files App Data Folder. Some settings are not exposed via graphical user interface. However, if settings are improperly edited, settings are reset.
- If you are browsing a folder for the first time, it will take some time to create thumbnails. Later visits with the same view type should load the thumbnails quicker.
