What is ShapeScan?

How ShapeScan Achieves 1mm Accuracy

  1. Marker-Based Calibration Four ArUco corners correct lens distortion, perspective warp, and scale simultaneously. Works with any smartphone camera, even wide-angle lenses.

  2. AI-Assisted Segmentation U²-Net neural network isolates your object from background automatically. Handles shadows, reflections, and complex textures without manual masking.

  3. Edge-Snap Refinement Contour points intelligently snap to gradient edges, ensuring CNC-grade precision. Built-in editor lets you fine-tune any section manually.

  4. Multi-Format Export One-click export to SVG (vectors), DXF (CAD), PNG (raster), and STL (3D print). All formats maintain true-scale millimeter accuracy.

Technical Specifications: Accuracy: ±1mm typical (±0.5mm with good lighting) Export Formats: SVG, DXF, PNG, STL (STEP coming soon) Max Sheet Size: A4/Letter (A3 in development) Camera Requirements: Any smartphone 8MP+ (no special gear) Processing: 100% browser-based, no upload limits Output Units: Millimeters or inches, true-scale
