What is Sente?
Sente 6 is the next-generation academic reference manager. Sente helps you find, organize, review and cite the academic literature in your field, and it does it in ways that you have probably not thought possible before. Sente also helps you build and maintain your library of PDF files for these references, because having ready access to the full text of important articles can be critical. Sente also excels at properly formatting bibliographies in your papers, but you probably already knew that.

I like Sente 6 very much. It's all straight forward. I struggled very much with Zotero and other Apps before I tried this one out. You can add several documents for your references and take quotes very nicely by only highlighting a sentence in the addes document. You can even comment each of the quotes. It's just a great app. I'm using it since about 6-9 month now, on a regular basis.
HOWEVER! On the Homepage it still said 2016 when I downloaded it in early 2017. And now, I can not connect to the Homepage any more. I worry that Sente is discontinued.

It's quite easy to use, by simply opening a new library each time you begin a new paper, you can keep using the free version. The only real downside ist that it will not work with Apple Pages.
