What is RuneManga?

RuneManga is an AI translation tool for manga, manhwa, manhua, webtoons, and comics. It uses OCR to detect text, removes original lettering, reconstructs artwork with inpainting, and places translated text in speech bubbles. It supports full-color webtoons and black-and-white manga, with controls for font, alignment, outlines, and minimum text size.

The web app accepts individual pages, folders, ZIP archives, and pasted images in desktop and mobile browsers. It can batch-process chapters, show progress for each page, and download translated pages. Its Chromium-based extension supports Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave, Vivaldi, Arc, and similar browsers. It translates content on enabled reading sites while scrolling; disabling it restores the original pages.

RuneManga detects Japanese, including vertical text, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Thai, and translates into 89 languages. Its RuneLingua model is available on free and paid plans. Pages are processed on its servers, deleted about an hour after processing, and not used for model training. The extension accesses pages only on sites where it is enabled.
