Spyder is an IDE for Python, not R. Just because the Python language can be used for mathematics doesn't make this an alternative. Someone looking for alternatives to RStudio rather than R itself is going to be looking for R-based IDEs, not another language.

RKWard is the closest alternative to Rstudio. It is an ODE specifically designed to work with R. It has almost all features of Rstudio. If you come from Rstudio it might take few days to get used to the layout and shortcuts (this applies to any migration in software world). to be brief, it does the job and it does it good.
