RPCS3 is described as 'experimental open-source Sony PlayStation 3 emulator and debugger written in C++ for Windows and Linux. RPCS3 began development in May of 2011 by its founders, DH and Hykem' and is an app in the development category. There are five alternatives to RPCS3 for Windows, Linux, Mac, Android and iPhone. The best alternative is OpenEmu, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like RPCS3 are Play! PS2 Emulator, Xenia, Nucleus and Short Waves.
