RockReader

RockReader is a free daily devotional and Bible app built around a quiet loop: read Scripture every day, reflect on it in a private journal, and share what you choose with people you actually know.

Reading and study are all free: seven translations (ESV, NIV, KJV, NLT, NKJV, NASB, and WEB), cross-references, public-domain commentaries (Matthew Henry, JFB, Adam Clarke, Tyndale study notes), original-language word study, footnotes, highlights, verse notes, and read-aloud. Follow the 365-day Bedrock plan through the Old Testament, New Testament, and Psalms, pick a topical reading plan, or build your own day by day.

Journaling uses the SOAP method (Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer) and is private by default, encrypted at rest. A separate prayer journal tracks requests, timed prayer sessions, and answered prayers. Sharing is opt-in: post a reflection to a small group, to friends, or publicly, or keep everything to yourself.

There are no ads, no engagement algorithms, and no tracking (analytics are cookie-free). Community features are built for small circles: groups, prayer requests, direct messages, and a feed limited to people you follow.

Works in any browser, installs as a PWA, and is available as a free Android app on Google Play.
