What is Rivok?
Rivok is a browser-based real-time strategy game in the .io genre. Up to 100 players and bots start from spawn points spread across a shared pixel map and expand by sending troop waves into neighboring territory. A strength slider sets what share of the standing army each attack commits, so play consists of picking targets and deciding how much to spend on them. Public matches typically last five to ten minutes.
On top of the territory mechanic the game layers an economy and a modern-warfare tech set. Each player picks one of four doctrines, which trade attack pressure, defensive strength and troop growth against each other. Points earned from held territory buy ten building types: FOB, city and industry raise troop growth, troop cap and income; harbors enable naval transport and trade routes between coastal ports; artillery and bunkers alter attack and defense values within a radius; and airports, airbases, SAM sites and missile silos unlock airstrikes, paratroopers and globally ranged cruise missiles. Boats land troops on distant coasts, paratroopers capture ground from the air, and SAM sites intercept aircraft and missiles in range.
Matches run on a real-world landmass or on procedurally generated maps. Players can agree in-match non-aggression pacts, which end on a visible countdown once either side cancels. Accounts carry a friends list, clan membership with a clan tag and shared chat, match history and replays of ranked rounds. Ranked public matches feed a global ELO leaderboard.
The game runs in any modern browser with no download or installation, supports mouse and keyboard as well as touch input, and can be played without an account in guest mode. It is free to play, with no in-game purchases and no paid gameplay advantages. An asynchronous long-game mode is planned but not yet available.
