What is RePen?

RePen is a screen annotation tool compatible with Windows 10 and 11. It provides a transparent drawing layer on your desktop, allowing users to annotate live over any application. It's designed to keep audiences engaged during activities like Zoom meetings, software demos, online teaching, and presentations.

Key features include the ability to draw and highlight over any application, shape and diagramming tools, interactive focus tools like spotlight mode, laser pointer, and magnifier/screen zoom. Users can switch between overlay mode and backgrounds like Whiteboard, Blackboard, Grid, or Notebook for lectures. Notes can be saved as PDFs or images. The software also has a click-through mode for interaction with background apps without closing drawings. RePen is free, lightweight, doesn't require subscriptions or registration, and is available as a standard installer or a Portable app.

RePen is suitable for teachers, educators, software developers, presenters, content creators, and YouTubers. It can be used to explain complex concepts, highlight elements during live demos, and annotate screen recordings and video tutorials.
