Remotify MCP

A free, open-source MCP server that lets AI coding assistants execute shell commands on a remote computer through an HTTP relay.

The MCP server runs locally over stdio and works with clients such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and Gemini CLI. On the remote computer, an operator starts a listener using curl and bash, without requiring SSH access or a permanently installed agent.

In supervised mode, the operator reviews and approves each command on the remote computer before it runs. An optional automatic mode executes commands without individual approval.

Three tools are available: remote_exec, remote_session_info and remote_session_reset. The server uses the public relay by default and also supports a self-hosted relay.

The local MCP server requires Node.js 18 or later and can be launched with npx -y remotify-mcp@latest. The project is licensed under Apache-2.0.
