Rapls Passkey is a free, open-source (GPL) plugin that adds passkey sign-in (WebAuthn / FIDO2) to WordPress.
There is nothing to configure and no external service: it works as soon as it is activated, everything runs on your own site, and the server stores only a public key. Touch ID, Windows Hello, Face ID or a FIDO2 security key replaces the password.
Password sign-in keeps working in the free plugin, so nobody is locked out while users move over. A first-run check confirms HTTPS, the relying-party ID and the WebAuthn library before anyone registers a passkey.
It works alongside existing two-factor plugins such as Wordfence Login Security and Two-Factor, where a passkey satisfies the second factor.
Shortcodes and blocks, an administrator passkey list, an audit log with CSV export, WP-CLI commands and an emergency bypass constant are all included. Fully translated into Japanese.
The free plugin has no cap, trial period or license key. An optional one-time-purchase add-on, Rapls Passkey Pro, adds features such as cross-device QR approval, recovery codes and role-based enforcement.
