RapiLaser is a web app for owners of GRBL 1.1 diode laser engravers and cutters. It runs entirely in Chrome or Edge — there is nothing to install and no CH340/CP2102 driver setup. You open a tab, plug the machine in over USB, and the browser talks to it directly using the Web Serial API.
It covers the basic workflow: import or lay out a design, set power and speed, generate G-code, and stream the job to the machine while watching progress in real time. Everything is processed on your own device — designs and G-code are not uploaded to a server during a job.
On Android, the same app connects to the machine through a USB OTG cable, so a phone or tablet can drive the laser without a laptop. iOS is not supported, since Apple does not allow browser access to USB devices.
Safety and alignment features include a check that hard limits are configured before a job starts, an always-visible stop button, pause and resume, framing and dry runs to preview where the job will land, out-of-bounds warnings, and job time estimates. Rotary jobs are handled without permanently changing the machine's stored settings.
The interface is Spanish-first and aimed at beginners in Latin America, with pricing in local currency. RapiLaser is not a replacement for LightBurn's vector editor: its design tools are deliberately simple, and the focus is on getting a first successful engraving without a driver or installation battle. The app is currently in beta.
Supports most GRBL 1.1 diode machines (Atomstack, Sculpfun, Ortur, NEJE and similar). Not compatible with newer xTool models, LaserPecker, or DSP/Ruida/galvo controllers.
