What is QuickAcuity?
Check your vision anywhere in seconds. QuickAcuity guides anyone through a simple swipe-based visual acuity test in seconds without extra equipment - no need for a wall-mounted chart, a tape measure, or a 2nd person to administer the test.
How it works
- Hold the phone at arm’s length. Distance is measured automatically using the front camera with face detection.
- Test each eye by swiping. It's super simple once you get a hang of it!
Key capabilities
- As fast as under 10 sec per eye with Super quick mode (additional modes available for higher accuracy)
- Distance calibration on supported iPhones (TrueDepth/ARKit); manual fallback when depth is unavailable. Automatically calculates the size to display in real time. No need to hang a chart on the wall or get out a tape measure to figure out distance.
- Works in small rooms with a fixed short working distance
- On-device processing; no account required and no personal identifiers stored
- Timestamped history for your notes or later review (trend your vision!)
