What is QuestSoft QTranslate?
QTranslate is a free translator for Windows. With this small utility, you simply select the text you want to translate and then press hot key (Ctrl+Q to show translation in the popup window or Double Ctrl click to show the translation in the main window). The program also has the ability to speak text (Ctrl+E) and perform a web search (Ctrl+W). Also, you can open the main window and type text manually.

The program has two modes of translation by mouse selection (click on the program icon in the system tray to turn this mode on): Show icon (Select text in any program, the program icon will appear near the cursor. Click on the icon, the popup window with the translation of the selected text will appear); Show translation (Select text in any program and the popup window with the translation of the selected text will appear immediately). The main features: Translate text in any application that supports text selection (Google Chrome, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Acrobat Reader, Skype, IE and etc.); Back translation; Replace the selected text with its translation; Instant translation; Spell checking; Text to speech synthesis; Word suggestion/autocomplete (Ctrl+Space); History of translations (Ctrl+H); Virtual keyboard; Portable version.

...the software seems completed!
I really like S3.Google Translator for Firefox and miss it on chromium-based browsers. But QTranslate it's just like S3 even better in some aspects. Very technical and user-friendly application!
Instant translation is that what I loved in S3 and couldn't found in other software, but found it here! And for any translation service, not only Google.
Most of the applications use global hotkeys and a user should make efforts to prevent conflicts, it's not the best idea for such small tools like this, but QTranslate have built-in exception rules, and you can allow it only for selected application. Hotkeys will not work inside of others.
And history feature will save time and traffic if the selected text was already translated before. That's why I even don't know so quick what could be improved here, the software seems completed!
It's probably out of development (2023). It has not been updated and the QuestSoft homepage no longer exists. I recommend "Crow Translate" as an alternative software.

Yes, broken link. Using link at site ahmed listed, the installation ran into Java runtime environment issues.. the most recent version doesn't have issue. Crow Translate installs without issue and looks like a good alternative.. Thank you for recommending. Now I can try both QTranslate and Crow.
Sad, but for 2023 - dead. All internet resources full of virused copies of this tool. The only one alternative that works - everything (double ctrl for translate selected text) Crow = sucks. Other apps - sucks.
It's awesome! 😍 the ui is simple and it's very practical
I use Q Translate with Yandex, which by the way is the best online translator (i.e English to Spanish is almost perfect.) However it is slower than accessing Yandex directly. Besides the Q-Translate advantage is that it bypasses the browser which is bulky. Q-Translator is smaller and has many configuration options and shortcuts.
I like this program because it is small, simple and gives a lot of possibilities
