What is Project Mercury?

Project Mercury is a lightweight and unobtrusive CPU tweak that allows you to prioritize programs in order of importance and use. Keep system resources where they are needed rather than squandering them on minimized or inactive programs and processes.

In a nutshell, it provides you with a silent systray tool that will automatically enable CPU priority boosting for the purpose of enhancing heavy multitasking. What that translates to is, determining which Windows programs are high in priority and which are not enabling the system's focus to be where it needs to be - in the process this prioritizing should greatly enhance the overall responsiveness during periods of heavy load.

Project Mercury also permits you to take control and choose from the preconfigured modes depending on your specific needs. You have the option to select from auto, desktop, server, gamer, and multitasking all from within the CPU Slice mode menu.
