PrintStream

PrintStream is a single, focused application for running Bambu Lab 3D printers, from one machine to a whole farm. It works on desktop and mobile, installs as a PWA, and gives a live view of printer readiness, active jobs, AMS state, temperatures and operator alerts in one shared workspace, with printer dashboards you can tune around the details your team actually watches.

Control goes beyond monitoring: pause, resume and stop prints, lights and calibration, AMS spool setup and drying, skipping objects mid-print, and staged firmware updates with live progress. You can also browse each printer's own storage, preview plates and thumbnails, rename or delete files, and start a reprint straight from the device.

A shared, version-controlled library keeps approved 3MF and G-code files in folders next to the printers rather than in a third-party cloud, with plate previews and dispatch to one or many machines including filament-to-slot mapping and compatibility checks. Many capabilities ship as plugins you enable only if you need them: a built-in model studio for arranging plates, transforming objects, painting supports, seams and colours and importing STL or STEP geometry; slicing with previews and estimates; a shared print queue that matches each job to a printer by the filament currently loaded in its AMS; production orders built from library files; live spool inventory with automatic RFID detection; plate-clear guards for unattended queues; notifications through browser push, Discord, email and ntfy; and a Home Assistant integration.

Workspace administration covers members, fine-grained roles and per-printer access, sign-in via passkeys, single sign-on or email and password, service accounts, and an audit trail on sensitive actions. Production history and stats cover job outcomes, recent activity and workspace trends, and the interface ships with several light and dark themes plus per-device overrides, reorderable navigation and a configurable landing page.

PrintStream talks to printers directly over your own network, with no print traffic routed through Bambu's cloud. You can use the hosted service at printstream.app, where a small bridge on the printers' network dials out so nothing needs port forwarding, or run the whole thing yourself as a native Windows or Linux application or in Docker, in which case the app, database, printer connectivity and all of your files stay on your own hardware.

The free tier covers personal, non-commercial use, with two printers on the hosted service and no printer limit when you run it yourself under a community license. Commercial use is covered by a Pro subscription, priced the same whether hosted or self-hosted and billed per printer beyond the two included, or by a one-time Lifetime license for self-hosting.
