Download preload. preload is an adaptive readahead daemon. It monitors applications that users run, and by analyzing this data, predicts what applications users might run, and fetches those binaries and their dependencies into memory for faster startup times.

Works like magic, when I boot in my lubuntu and click on mozilla it fires up in less than a second!!!

I wish there was something like it on WINDOWS (and yes I know there is superfetch etc but it doesnt do the same results!)

Installation:

  1. Open a terminal window.
  2. Type in the following command, then hit Enter. sudo apt-get install preload
