What is Preflighter?

Preflighter is a prepress preflight and soft-proof tool that runs in the browser. Upload a print PDF and inspect how it will actually separate on press: individual plates for CMYK and spot (Pantone) colours with per-plate toggles, overprint simulation with an on/off comparison, a total ink coverage (TAC) heatmap with an adjustable limit, and a densitometer that reads ink percentages per channel under the cursor. It also lists fonts, image resolution, page boxes and the output intent, and honours embedded ICC profiles.

It is aimed at designers, prepress operators and print shops who need Acrobat's Output Preview–style checks without a paid Acrobat Pro licence, and it works on any operating system, including Linux. No registration and no ads; uploaded files are deleted automatically within 24 hours. It is a soft-proof aid, not a certified contract proof.
