What is PowerTunnel?
PowerTunnel is an effective tool against government censorship. The Windows edition works by running a local proxy server, which is used to modify the outgoing traffic in a way that prevents common DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) tactics from intercepting and thus blocking the connection.
The Android version of PowerTunnel is built on VPN Server that intercepts the traffic locally, and directs it through the LibertyTunnel proxy. Since the Android version also support setting an "upstream proxy", the app can be used the same way another common app works on Windows, called "Proxifier".
This allows the Android users to route ALL traffic into the specific proxy server, with DPI bypassing features also applied in the same time.
This is a free-and-open-source application, developed by "krlvm", and supported actively through GitHub issues: Windows edition: https://github.com/krlvm/PowerTunnel/issues Android edition: https://github.com/krlvm/PowerTunnel-Android/issues
