What is Power Trace?

Power Trace turns a Tuya Wi-Fi energy meter, such as the ATORCH GR2P-W/S, into a monitoring station on your own computer or Raspberry Pi. It reads the meter over your local network, stores every reading in a local SQLite database and shows them in a dashboard in your browser.

It goes beyond the numbers in the stock app: a built-in analysis finds voltage sags and spikes, rates the supply quality, shows which loads switch on and how much they use, estimates the source resistance and gives a Health Score from 0 to 100 with an explanation. It also calculates your bill at your own tariff, including day/night rates, and can switch the relay from the dashboard.

Readings stay on your machine. The Tuya cloud is used once to get the device's Local Key: sign in with Smart Life by QR code, no developer account needed. Works alongside Home Assistant through REST sensors.
