What is Pokelingo?
Pokelingo is a daily Pokémon riddle and multilingual Pokédex for language learners. Each day, players read a real Pokédex entry written in the language they are studying and have five guesses to name the Pokémon it describes.
The site supports nine languages on day one: Japanese, English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Beyond the daily puzzle, the entire National Pokédex (all 1,025 Pokémon) is browsable as a multilingual reference, with entries shown side by side across all nine languages so users can compare wording across translations.
Pokelingo combines a Wordle-style daily game with a Pokédex reference. It is aimed at adult Pokémon fans who are also studying a second language. Pokédex entries tend to be short, repetitive, and full of concrete vocabulary (body parts, habitats, behaviour), which makes them well suited to vocabulary acquisition.
