What is PixelUnik?

PixelUnik writes alt text for your Shopify product photos with AI, in your store's language.

Google and screen readers can't see a product photo: they read its alt text. Writing it by hand for a whole catalog is slow work, so most stores leave it empty or repeat the product title on every image.

PixelUnik looks at each photo and describes what that photo actually shows, different for every angle, in one of seven languages. You review it, ask for another version, or save it to Shopify.

It also writes SEO titles and meta descriptions from the product and its photo, renames image files for search, and adds a 301 redirect when a product URL changes. On the Growth plan, alt text and file names cover your whole catalog at once, and new images get alt text automatically.

It can also convert images to WebP, and it keeps your originals while you subscribe.

Everything is written into Shopify's own fields, so your alt text and SEO stay in place if you ever uninstall.
