What is Pixel Guide?
Pixel Guide is a clean guide browser and library for Android handhelds, phones, and tablets. Save guides right on your device, block clutter while browsing, track RetroAchievements, and keep the guides you use ready to render locally later.
Read classic walkthroughs, modern FAQs, PDF manuals, maps, charts, and personal reference files in one focused Android app.
Pixel Guide is an Android application for collecting and reading game reference material. It can browse and download guides from GameFAQs, handle Neoseeker TXT and HTML walkthroughs, download PDF manuals through ScreenScraper, and keep your own imported guides beside everything else.
The app is built for long-form walkthroughs, retro gaming, emulation setups, and handheld Android devices. It remembers your place, keeps navigation fast, supports controller-friendly reading, and gives each guide a readable, theme-aware presentation.
- Built for Android and especially useful on handheld gaming devices.
- Optimized for large TXT, HTML, PDF, CBZ, XLSX, and image-based guides.
- Smart Text Formatting can reflow classic fixed-width TXT guides for easier modern reading.
- Save complete single-file HTML guides directly on the device, no desktop workflow required.
- Download multi-page Neoseeker HTML walkthroughs for local reading.
- Built-in ad blocking keeps web guide pages cleaner and faster to read.
- Controller navigation, multi-window support, and optional HTML Table of Contents controls.
- Saved guides, manuals, images, and translation models can render locally without network access.
- No telemetry, no analytics, and no tracking.
Note that the app is not open source but it uses GitHub for distribution and issue reports: https://github.com/rexmont/Pixel-Guide-Android
