Introducing an affordable app that allows you to change both the pitch and speed of a sound file. It reads virtually all types of sound files directly from your computer. Here are the following supported file types:

It has a remarkably simple and easy interface yet provides a powerful sound processing engine. PitchNSpeed lets you change the pitch of a recording by clicking a musical keyboard and changing the speed is as easy as moving a slider. You can also customize the interface with any color of your choosing.

I created PitchNSpeed in order to address what I saw as a growing need for an affordable way to alter sound files in high quality. I have focused above all on simplicity and on rendering the altered audio as close to the original as possible. Most other apps that do this are priced in the 50$ range so I have put a modest price tag in order to accommodate a broader audience.

This app is primarily intended for musicians who want to practice along with a CD or MP3 where the music is too fast. It is also for people who have historically pitched instruments and need to transpose their sound files. It can also be used for changing tempo in a dance class but in reality anything is possible.
