PinU

PinU is a local messaging app that helps you message your friends when they are nearby, so that you never miss out again.

Until now, the only way to discover if your friends were around was to speculatively call or text people in advance, which is both inconvenient and inefficient. In the smartphone era where mobile phones are our primary devices, this is impractical and broken. So PinU was started to easily message friends when they are nearby.

Whenever your friends are within a 3-kilometre radius of you, you can instantly message them within the app. All of this is done while still providing users with privacy controls.

PinU is currently available on iOS (with the Android version currently in private beta). The app is currently only available in London and will be launching in other cities in the near future.
